The Lift-Mate Series 703 truck and rail car connector is specially designed to contain dry bulk solid materials when discharging from hopper bottom rail cars or trucks. The Lift-Mate is easy to use and creates a dust-tight connection between the outlet of a hopper bottom rail car and/or truck for cleaner and faster unloading and discharging. It comes complete with an outlet flange aligner control for exact positioning of the Lift-Mate connector. This makes it simple and quick to use when trying to align to meet the outlet of the rail car or truck.
The lifting mechanism is powered by a heavy-duty hydraulic cylinder, which uses an air-over-oil combination for a smooth and safe position control. The rugged hydraulic cylinder has an oversized piston rod for additional strength and to provide more than adequate power for lifting and sealing. The mating connection to the truck or rail car has a replaceable, extra wide seal to provide longer life, even under severe operating conditions.
Manual air control valves and oil reservoir tank is fully assembled and ready for easy floor mounting. The controls include a special lockout for security and safety purposes. The overall simplicity of the Lift-Mate connector makes maintenance easy, because the air-over-oil power source only requires standard available compressed air for operation.
